When it comes to buying a home there are a lot of things that come into play and price is a huge factor in that. However, a recent survey by CTIA of 2,000 registered voters discovered that when it comes to buying a home, homebuyers factor in the reliability of wireless service in the home over the price.
The survey revealed that 67 percent of those surveyed held the reliability of the home’s wireless service as a key factor, compared to 60 percent who considered the price of the home as a key factor. 41 percent of survey respondents prioritized their commute times and 28 percent prioritized the proximity of a home to a major airport. 23 percent of buyers said their key factor in home choice was its proximity to restaurants and nightlife.
When it came to neighborhood considerations the only other two things higher than wireless service were that 77 percent of buyers were looking for good hospitals and 65 percent were looking for good schools. According to CTIA, consumers in America in 2015 used 9.65 trillion megabytes of wireless data and that number continues to grow. With more consumers turning to their smartphones for access to the internet, cell phone coverage could play a big factor when it comes to selling a home.
If you struggle with dropped calls or low cell signals in your home it may not be the fault of your carrier but could be your home itself blocking the cell signal. The last thing you want to do is lose a buyer because they have no cell signal when viewing your home.
If the cell signal inside your home is not the strongest you can contact your carrier. Many service providers offer users a signal booster. There are also a wide variety of boosters on the market you can purchase outright if not provided by your wireless coverage provider.
