Family Holiday Celebration- 12/9-12/10
The Family Holiday Celebration has become a family tradition for many. The Jaycees Christmas Parade is on Friday night at 6:00 p.m., which will be followed by a tree lighting ceremony and ceremony at the Wildwoods Convention Center where awards will be issued from the parade at 7:15 p.m. The following day enjoy a fun filled activity-packed day at the Wildwoods Convention Center lobby from 9 a.m. -4 p.m., where there will be holiday-themed crafts and movies, photos with Santa as well as entertainment. Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade-12/9/2016
Watch a festive line-up of floats, fire trucks and other creatively decorated vehicles parade down the streets of the Wildwoods accompanied by Santa himself! Registration begins at 5 p.m. at the North Wildwood Recreation Center (10th & Central Aves); line-up begins at 5:30 p.m.; parade steps off at 6 p.m. at 16th & Central Avenues, then continues South on Pacific Avenue through Wildwood to Heather Road in Wildwood Crest, then ends at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Parade awards will be presented in the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the 7:15 p.m. tree lighting ceremony. Trophies will be awarded in these categories: Commercial, Community Service, Marching Bands, and Public Service. ‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run-12/10
This holiday boardwalk 5K run and 1 mile walk is fun for all ages! Event starts at 10 a.m. – rain or shine – with registration at 9 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes awarded. Runners and walkers along with their cheering sections can then enjoy the Holiday Bazaar held inside the Convention Center. Spirit Brands Cheerleading Festival-12/10
Wildwoods Convention Center from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Spirit Brands holiday cheerleading competition featuring performances choreographed to music and sound effects, and winning teams will be awarded prizes. “Battle at the Boards” Basketball Tournament- 12/23
Crest Savings Bank presents “BATTLE AT THE BOARDS” inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. This special one day basketball tournament will feature a handful of area and out-of-area boys and girls teams competing in showcase games, starting at 3 p.m. Included in the Battle at the Boards are the popular Andrew Alameno Memorial boys and girls island championship games between cross-town rivals Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic high schools.
